Sean Jelinek’s Common Tones Bands’ new album “Perceptions in Time” has just been released. The Album features: Doug Rosenberg on Tenor Saxophone, Jacob Wilson on Guitar, Stuart Seale on Piano and Keyboards, and Ethan Philion on Bass. The original compositions derive their sound from a mix of contemporary styles and influences. The music draws from musical experiences I’ve had while traveling, “San Germán”, as well as at home in Chicago, “Tipping Point”, and in my dreams, “Beneath the Haze”. The music blends: Jazz, Afro-cuban, Funk, and Rock. In addition, helping mold this music in to it’s own sound has been the musicians collaborating with each other in the group live over the years.
